[Video] The Smart Way to Use Keywords in Your Online Listings

Want to show up more often in searches? Of course you do!

It’s not as easy as claiming your listings and your Google My Business profile.

If you want your listings to rank well, it’s time to get smart about your keywords.

First, find your keywords.

Got a Google Ads account? Then you also have access to Google’s keyword planner.

Google’s keyword planner recommends top search terms based on:

  • Services you offer
  • Most frequent searches in your area

Need an example?

Say you’re a photographer in Phoenix. The keyword phrase “photographer phoenix” is pretty obvious.

But Google might recommend alternatives, like:

  • Downtown phoenix wedding photography
  • Newborn photographer phoenix

Now, add them to your listings.

Now that you have smarter keywords, add them to your listings.

Work them into:

  • Your business description
  • Image file names
  • Image descriptions

You’re almost guaranteed to show up in searches more often.
