[Video] Fixing a Bad Online Reputation

94% of consumers say an online review convinced them to avoid a business. Hopefully you’re not that business.

But if you are, we’ve got some tips on how to fix your less-than-perfect online reputation.

Know what’s wrong.

You can’t fix what you can’t identify. But it’s not just your star rating (your average rating out of 5) that matters.

Multiple other factors could hurt you business’s online reviews.

Here’s what may be hurting yours:

  • Recency – your ratings and reviews are too old
  • Volume – you have too few online ratings and reviews
  • Quality – your reviews are too generic or lack information that could help consumers

Fix it.

Whatever the issue, there are a few things you can do to enhance your online reviews.

Respond to the reviews you have. This shows searchers you care.
Get more from happy customers. The more reviews you have, the better your average will be.
Ask for details! Short, boring reviews get overlooked.
