Facebook Adds Admin Levels To Pages

Facebook has rolled out a new feature allowing you to set admin permission levels.

This is a welcome update because in most cases all Page admins didn’t need full access. In fact, the prior, universal admin status created a slight risk to the Page when inexperienced admins could change anything or publish to the Page at will.

Well, now all Page managers and businesses can a little more sleep at night.

Here are the names of the new roles and the management functions they can perform:

Manager
Has full access to the page; they can do it all. They can add and remove admins, view insights, place ads, create and publish content, and they can moderate wall posts or comments. This is the permission level that all admins had until today.

Content Creator
Can edit the Page, send messages as the Page, create and publish content to the Page, create ads, and view insights.

Moderator
Can send messages as the Page, respond to and delete comments, create ads, and view insights

Advertiser
Can create ads and view insights.

Insights Analyst
Can view insights.

What are your thoughts on this new feature? Will you use it for your business?
