When he took over the company in 2000, Windows, Doors & More was struggling. According to Hunter, it was in eighth position within the home improvement category in Fort Wayne, in desperate need of penetration. He had joined Home Guard, the manufacturing division of the company, in 1989 and helped grow the division by 700 percent over the span of 10 years by selling the product all over the country. “I was tired of traveling and telling our clients how to become successful,” Hunter recalled. “There was an opportunity literally in my back yard and I took it.” First thing Hunter did was increase the size of his Verizon® SuperYellowPages ad from about dollar bill size to a full page color ad. “We saw immediate results and started to really build momentum,” Hunter said. “In 2000 we had about three people installing for us. Today, I have a team of about 50 and we are in homes every day.
