Don’t Take Our Word for it, Take Google’s

Google recently released a video called, “How to hire an SEO.” You probably know by now that SEO stands for search engine optimization. In real people terms, that means enhancing what’s on your website such that your business ranks well with search engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing. Call us crazy, but if you want your website to rank well with Google, listening to their advice makes a lot of sense.

This video in particular zeroes in on how to spot a qualified SEO professional before you hire them to help you improve your online presence.

In short, they recommend you:

  1. Conduct a two-way interview with your potential SEO. Check that they seem genuinely interested in you and your business.
  2. Check their references.
  3. Ask for a technical and search audit.

It’s not a short video, but it’s certainly informative. More than that, it really raises the bar for what good SEO looks like. Are you intimidated by the thought of choosing an SEO expert, but know it’s time to invest? Dex Media has more than one SEO guru on staff. Oh, and they know their stuff.

Let’s get started.
