A new survey of 89 marketers by Forrester Research revealed that a large majority of respondents are still struggling to figure out which digital marketing strategies are the most beneficial in increasing their company’s bottom line.

When asked about their biggest challenges, 50 percent of respondents answered that securing budget to try new things was the biggest obstacle standing in their way. Additionally, only 43 percent felt they’ve been extremely successful in developing and executing a digital marketing strategy with the remaining majority admitting that their execution falls short and they tend to be more tactical and reactive than strategic when implementing digital into their advertising plans.

Additionally, Forrester recommended marketers not get caught up in the latest digital trend and instead focus on what is already working as part of their marketing mix.
