For many small business owners, juggling daily operations while capturing and converting new leads can feel like running on a hamster wheel — fast, exhausting, and going nowhere. That was the reality for Brett Abbott, owner of Pool Builder Marketing LLC, in Lago Vista, Texas.
Brett wasn’t short on interest from potential customers. Leads were coming in consistently. The challenge was keeping up. Without a centralized system, inquiries were scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and handwritten notes. Follow-ups were often delayed or missed entirely, not because of a lack of effort, but from lack of time. Like many growing service-based businesses, Pool Builder Marketing needed a better way to stay organized without adding more complexity.
That’s when Brett partnered with Thryv.
The Solution: Partnering with Thryv
Everything changed once Brett implemented Thryv’s all-in-one business management platform. With Thryv, he brought key pieces of his sales and marketing stack into a streamlined system — turning chaos into consistent growth.
CRM: Turn Every Lead into an Opportunity
Before Thryv, Brett managed leads with spreadsheets and sticky notes. Once he centralized lead and client information in Thryv’s CRM:
- Follow-ups became automated and reliable
- Every interaction was captured in one place
- Sales doubled within a year — simply by staying organized and responsive
This shift turned scattered inquiries into repeatable revenue. It enabled his company to scale to 50 clients nationwide and grow organically year after year.
Automated Follow-Up: No Lead Left Behind
Looking back, Brett realized how many opportunities he lost before Thryv — simply because follow-up didn’t happen fast enough. With Thryv’s automation tools:
- Every new inquiry gets an immediate, personalized response
- Past clients get re-engaged for future or referral business
- Long-term nurture campaigns keep Pool Builder Marketing top-of-mind
Instead of manually sending emails or making reminders, Thryv handles communication, ensuring every lead gets timely attention.
Partner Program: Powering Growth Beyond His Business
Seeing firsthand how impactful Thryv was for his own business, Brett took the partnership a step further by joining the Thryv Partner Program. This allowed him to help his own clients implement the same systems that transformed Pool Builder Marketing. The results were significant. One client alone grew from generating $2–3 million in annual revenue to more than $15 million after adopting Thryv’s CRM and automation tools. These outcomes reinforced what Brett already knew: growth doesn’t happen without systems to support it.
By leveraging Thryv, Brett was able to:
These measurable outcomes show how the right business system doesn’t just save time — it unlocks revenue and growth potential.
Why This Matters
For service-based businesses like pool builders, marketers, and contractors, this story is a familiar one. Growth brings complexity, and without the right tools, that complexity can stall progress. Thryv provided Pool Builder Marketing with a system that works behind the scene, allowing Brett to:
- Stop letting leads slip through the cracks
- Focus on strategic growth, not administrative work
- Build predictable, repeatable systems for sales and retention
Thryv Customer feedback
There’s no way for a blue-collar company like a pool builder or pool service company to grow without a system like Thryv.
